Chef Jeff Gebott

EXECUTIVE CHEF

From an early age, Chef Jeff Gebott was fascinated with fire and smoke. As a child; watching and experiencing his father work a barrel style grill for church potlucks, he saw instantly what controlling a perfect fire meant to those guests eating at his home.  While dad manned the grill, his mother gracefully baked cookies and other confections in the kitchen and this established in him a love for food and fellowship.  His childhood home in California was always filled with family and friends celebrating life over a full dinner table and to this day he treats his dining rooms like it were his own home. His love for barbecue came about when his family moved to Houston, Texas during his teens.  The slow and low cooking method, fueled by fire and smoke became something he instantly identified with and hasn't stop using his entire career.

Chef Jeff is classically trained, experienced in multiple cuisines, and award winning.  From ribbons and trophies in BBQ competitions to being awarded the 5 Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, Jeff Gebott has seen and cooked it all and at every level.  His love for competition has taken and his team to numerous regional and national restaurant competitions, participation in Culinary Fight Club, as well as taken him to the World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama to compete on an international level.  His drive is contagious and as a result he has built high performing work teams wherever he has manned the helm.

The mantra of Southern Hospitality is "When you are here, you are home." Chef Jeff Gebott believes this on every level and seeks to give that experience and exceed expectations to every guest.
