What is your name?
Ariel, but Stanley calls me Ari Gold.
How Long Have you worked at Southern Hospitality?
Almost 2 years.
Where are you originally from?
Martha’s Vineyard, MA.
How long have you lived in New York City?
5 years
What makes Southern Hospitality so special?
I think what makes it so special is that we have a really close staff members that work hard to make sure we live up to our name. We also have great customers that are always ready to have fun.
What are your goals for the future?
I would love to work in film in the near future. Fingers crossed that we [the restaurant] open up in LA someday.
What’s the most exciting thing you did all week?
Went to a Red Sox game. Yeah, that’s right, I’m a Red Sox fan! [Editor’s Note: Try not to hold it against her].
What is your favorite thing on the Southern Hospitality Menu?
I would have to say our BBQ Sauce. I had to learn all the ingredients for our menu test, so I really appreciate it. If you mean actual food, then I love our new BBQ Quesadilla with Pulled Chicken, it’s our Blue Plate Special on Tuesday nights.
What’s your favorite Southern Hospitality memory?
When Bret Michaels came in to do a photoshoot, I had to pose in the background as a bartender. He was very friendly and down to earth. Bret Michaels YOU ROCK MY WORLD!

We have a great selection of bourbon and whiskeys. We even can host private bourbon classes for people who want to learn more about them. Personally, I like Chimay, we’re one of 15 bars in NYC with Chimay on tap.
