Tuesday, December 16th was a music love fest with rock, pop and reggae sounds pleasantly treating our ears from a Boston-based band, ENDWAY. Fronted by Morgan Dorr, lead vocals and bass, along with Kevin, Scott, Benny and Brian. Its a sweet mixture of keyboard tones, rockin drums, guitar, a soulful sax and blended vocals. Endway first enjoyed delicious BBQ sandwiches, sans one awesome vegatarian guitarist, who ate Southern’s Portobello sandwich with a side of Sweet Potatoes. They acclamated to the Southern surroundings really well, soon finding themselves right at home, relaxed and ready to showcase their musical talents. Southern Hospitality Gives Back
Thanks to all who came out to support our community on Sunday night! We hosted a fundraiser for the arts education program for PS 159 which is local elementary school and the turnout was awesome. We ended up raising $2000 for the program by selling raffle tickets, waitresses and bartenders donated their tips and ten percent of all sales were donated by the restaurant. The Shells performed and some of the kids even got up on stage to sing along with them! Chase Crawford from Gossip Girl was here hanging out and watching the Cowboys/Steelers game but ended up chatting it up with some of the PTA parents. He also was very gracious and bought some raffle tickets for the fundraiser! Everybody had a great time and we appreciate all the patrons coming out and supporting a great cause. We hope to continue working with the community and giving back in every way we could.
