The NFL Game Day Cookbook

150 Recipes to Feed the Hungriest Football Fan from Preseason to the Super Bowl

by Ray Lampe aka Dr. BBQ

Double-Baked Potatoes with Gorgonzola

Cheesy and delicious.

4 large russet potatoes

4 ounces crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup half-and-half

2 tablespoons  butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Scrub the potatoes, and pierce them with a fork several times.  Bake the potatoes on a baking sheet for 55 minutes, or until soft to the touch.  Remove them to cool for 30 minutes.

Cut a slice off the top of each potato. With a spoon, scoop out the potato pulp into a medium bowl, leaving a thin layer inside of the potato shell. With a hand-held masher, mash the potato pulp with the cheese, sour cream, half-and-half, and butter. Add the salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly. Heap the mixture back into the potato shells, put them on a baking sheet, and return to the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until hot.

Makes 4 servings

THE JETS WIN IN OVER TIME OVER THE RIVAL PATS AND THE CROWD AT SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY NYC WENT CRAZY!!!!!!

There is only one thing better then Sunday Night and Monday Night Football. Thats Thursday Night football, and the best part is when the home town New York Jets are playing the hated rivals New England Patriots for First Place. We had a full house at Southern Hospitality by 815pm when the game started and we had the sound blast on every tv. The New York Jets were underdogs but didn’t show as they took a quick lead and made the Pats look like a bunch of pee wee football players, but the Pats pulled closer with a touchdown before the end of the half. The second half belonged to the Pats as they throw the ball all over the field and made the Jets defense look pretty weak. But in the final minutes of the 4th quarter the Most impressive NY JET MR BRETT FAVRE marched the team down the field and scored a touchdown to put the Jets in the lead. But Matt Cassell the quarterback for the Pats was not done as he hooked up with Mr RANDY MOSS in the endzone for a game tieing touchdown with 1 second left in the game and sent it to overtime. The JEts fans at Southern Hospitality were on there heels, this feeling is way to familiar blowing a big lead and losing to the New England Patriots,MR BRETT FAVRE was not going to dissapoint the fans, he marches the team down the field and put them in field goal range. Jay Feele won the game for the NY JETS in overtime and the place wents Crazy. Here are some pictures of the the passionate and happy fans, next time there is a game on come on by and join us for all the fun.
