Darryl Strawberry is a hit at Southern Hospitality
July 22nd, 2008

His presence for our guests, the invited public - that means you - made the 2008 All-Star game more exciting and memorable. While awaiting his arrival the opening ceremonies from Yankee stadium began with a huge cheer. When Darryl arrived he greeted happy fans with his contagious smile - everyone was now ready for the first pitch! Throughout the game he spoke to his fans, signed personal jerseys, baseball cards and mementos, took hundreds of pictures and truly made the night special. Running back Ladainian Tomlinson came to watch the All-Star game hosted by Strawberry, which at this point you may have firgured out, and he feasted on Southern’s Dry Rub Spareribs and Fried Chicken, while Darryl had our famous Burnt Ends. They took a moment from watching the game and their delicious BBQ platters to say hi and have a photo opp together. Baseball fans were playing beer pong, requesting bartender Kat to surprise them with a shot, and dancin’ when their players made a mark in the historic 2008 All-Star game. Suffice to say, it was a homerun having Mr. Strawberry to celebrate with!
